Thank you for your interest in the Advanced Placement pathway at United Nursing College! Please expect at least an hour to fill out this application.
The Advanced Placement (AP) Pathway is designed and built specifically for Military Medics, LVNs, and Paramedics who want to advance toward their ADN degree. This pathway consists of a workshop series skillfully designed with didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction.
To apply for the workshop series, students must have already completed and met United Nursing College's general admission requirements. Admission into the Mandatory Workshop Series is determined by a multi-criteria point system.
1. Complete all pre-requisite courses with a minimum GPA requirement of 2.5 for science courses and 2.0 for other courses:
- Anatomy with lab
- Physiology with lab
- Microbiology with lab
- English Composition
- Intermediate Algebra (or higher)
- Psychology
- Humanities
- Sociology
- Oral Communications
2. Provide proof of current unencumbered license.
3. Provide employment verification of 1 year full-time work experience within the last 3 years. Verification form can be found here.
4. Send us your official transcripts. We will accept official transcripts via mail or email. If emailed, they must come directly from your school. Official transcripts must be received prior to consideration of acceptance into the workshop and program.

Successful completion of the entire series is required prior to applying to the Advanced Placement pathway. Points earned in the workshop series will be converted to a point system and added to the application criteria for admission into the Advanced Placement pathway. The workshop series does not guarantee admission into the Advanced Placement Pathway. The workshop series is valid for two years.
